Sickle-STAT Assay kit - 48 tests
Sickle cell disease is an inherited disorder characterized by the presence of hemoglobin S, which occurs in either the homozygous (S/S-sickle cell anemia), or heterozygous (A/S-sickle cell trait) forms. In a normal adult, at least 95 percent of the hemoglobin present is hemoglobin A. Hemoglobin S can be inherited in the homozygous (S/S) form and is often fatal before adolescence. The Chembio Sickle-STAT assay is a qualitative screening test for the detection of hemoglobin S in blood samples. The test is used for the diagnosis of Sickle cell disease in conjunction with other criteria. Application:Used for the determination of the presence of Hemoglobin S in human blood.
